## Description
The vineyard was established in 1804 approx. 120 km from Capetown. The name comes from “De Oude Drostdy” – a building that was a courthouse from 1806 to 1822, but today is home to the vineyard and a popular museum. The grapes for Drostdy-Hof’s wines come from fields in many places in the Western Cape, where countless varieties of quality grapes grow under optimal conditions. The vines grow both as shrubs and trellis under many different soil conditions and at heights from 50 to 250 meters above sea level.

A soft, fruity and quite full-bodied red wine from South Africa. As the name suggests, it is produced from Merlot and Shiraz grapes and they have stored for 4-6 months in steel tanks with added oak sticks to create extra depth to the finished wine. In the glass, it has a really nice color and a delicate aroma of ripe fruit. The taste is fresh and juicy taste of fruit and red berries with hints of vanilla / chocolate, and the aftertaste is gentle and pleasant.
